Job description
About the Client
Our client is a senior-led consulting firm specializing in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, helping mid-market finance and operations teams navigate growth, complexity, and ongoing system stewardship. They offer a mix of subscription-based support and outcome-based project delivery, working with finance teams that run multi-entity operations, complex billing models, and critical system integrations. The company has an established track record with recognizable mid-market and enterprise clients, and prides itself on senior-level expertise, clear documentation, and responsive service.
Why does this role exist?
This role exists because the client's internal team is currently stretched thin trying to maintain and update their WordPress/Elementor website themselves — leading to ad-hoc updates that take too long or don't get done, and real risk of breaking existing pages when non-specialists attempt changes. They need a dedicated, reliable specialist to own website updates and enhancements so the internal team no longer has to context-switch or fight with Elementor. This hire will become the go-to person for new sections, landing pages, and content publishing, working within the existing site to improve and extend it — not rebuild it.
The Impact you’ll make
Modify & Improve Existing Pages
Update copy, imagery, sections, and layouts on existing WordPress pages
Align new work with the existing design system and brand guidelines
Implement updates without breaking current flows, layouts, or features
New Sections & Page Builds in Elementor
Design and implement new sections and full pages inside Elementor
Extend or duplicate existing layouts cleanly instead of reinventing structures
Propose implementation options when requirements are loosely defined
Content Publishing & Maintenance
Publish and format blog posts and other content updates
Maintain the content library — remove outdated items, fix broken links, adjust navigation as needed
Quality, Stability & Responsiveness
Ensure every change is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile
Test updates to confirm no regressions or broken functionality
Troubleshoot layout issues and minor front-end bugs related to page structure
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate timelines clearly
Proactively propose UX/layout improvements when opportunities are spotted
Provide regular status updates, respond promptly during working hours, and flag blockers early
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
Strong, proven hands-on WordPress experience Deep, hands-on Elementor experience — building new sections and editing/extending existing layouts Solid understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first best practices Ability to troubleshoot layout issues and minor front-end bugs related to page structure Availability for at least 5 hours/week overlapping U.S. Eastern Time
Strong general WordPress skills — comfortable working within an existing site rather than building from scratch
Understanding of responsive/mobile-first design principles
Ability to diagnose and fix minor front-end/layout bugs
Working knowledge of on-page SEO basics (meta tags, alt text, internal linking) — a plus
Comfort with light copy/layout refinement — headings, spacing, visual hierarchy — a plus
Soft Skills
Highly responsive and reliable — replies promptly and doesn't let requests go stale
Detail-oriented, especially when it comes to not breaking what already works
Strong written communicator who can give clear, concise async updates
Comfortable interpreting loose requirements and proposing solutions rather than waiting for exact specs
Proactive — flags blockers early rather than letting them sit
WFH Set-Up:
Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
Back-up computer and internet connection
Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
You should apply if...
You're the kind of developer who respects an existing site instead of wanting to tear it down and start over.
You take pride in shipping clean, stable updates — not just fast ones — and you double-check your work across devices before calling it done.
You're comfortable being handed a loose brief ("we need a new section here, make it work") and turning that into a clear plan, a timeline, and a finished page.
Communication isn't an afterthought for you — you proactively update people before they have to ask, and you flag problems before they become bigger ones.
If you like the idea of being the trusted go-to person who keeps a site running smoothly and growing steadily, this role is built for you.
What to expect...
Work Setup:
Remote position
Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or something similar or higher operating system
