Job description

Job Summary: Part-time evening program teaching 2-3 nights a week from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The Workforce Development Pharmacy Technician Instructor delivers training that prepares students for entry-level roles in pharmacy settings. This role provides instruction in pharmacy principles, medication safety, and regulations, while supporting student success and readiness for certification and employment.
 


Minimum Qualifications:


Associates degree and or combination of experience and education.


Licensing Requirements:


- Valid Driver's License (Standard)
- Effective June 28, 2026, Pennsylvania requires all pharmacy technicians to be registered with the PA State Board of Pharmacy. If you are not currently registered, you must obtain registration by June 28, 2026.
- PA ACT-15 (Standard)

  • Deliver instruction for the Pharmacy Technician program in alignment with curriculum and industry standards - (Essential)

  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments - (Essential)

  • Teach pharmacy fundamentals, calculations, medication safety, and regulations - (Essential)

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback and academic support - (Essential)

  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and program records - (Essential)

  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy requirements and program guidelines - (Essential)

  • Support students in preparation for certification exams (e.g., PTCB) - (Essential)

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment - (Essential)

  • Collaborate with Workforce Development staff and participate in program improvement initiatives - (Essential)

  • Other duties as assigned - (Standard)
