How We Work

Our finance team is modernising how it works. We are standardising processes across the group, tightening the data underneath them, and building an automation and AI layer on top. We use AI tools (including Claude) in our day-to-day work, and we are looking for people who are genuinely interested in working this way — not just processing transactions, but improving how the work gets done.

• You'll be encouraged to use AI tools day-to-day — drafting and summarising, checking calculations, and speeding up routine work.
• You'll help spot the manual, repetitive steps in your area and flag them as candidates for automation.
• You'll take care over data quality, because reliable automation depends on clean, well-structured data.

What You'll Do

Day-to-day accounting

• Process purchase and sales invoices and the related payments
• Handle expense reports and business-travel costs
• Post monthly accruals
• Maintain fixed-asset records — recognition, depreciation and disposals

Banking and cash

• Work with online banking and the Stripe and PayPal payment platforms
• Perform month-end bank reconciliations
• Support cash-flow planning

Accounts payable and payroll

• Manage accounts payable and payment orders
• Reconcile payroll, including insurance, tax withholding and benefits

What You'll Bring

Essential

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• At least 3 years in a comparable accounting role
• Solid working knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS
• Confident with accounting software and strong Excel (complex formulas, data handling, analysis)
• English to a strong working level (upper-intermediate or above)
• Genuine interest in using AI and automation tools in finance

Nice to have

• Experience in an international or multi-entity group
• Exposure to ERP systems
• Excel automation (macros, dashboards)

Your Impact in the First 120 Days

By Day 30

• You've got full access to the finance systems, banking platforms, and Stripe and PayPal, and you understand how invoices, expenses and accruals flow through the month.
• You're processing purchase and sales invoices independently, with support on anything unusual.
• You've sat in on a full month-end close and can see how bank reconciliation, accruals and fixed-asset entries connect to each other.

By Day 60

• You're handling expense reports, business-travel costs and payment orders without oversight.
• You've completed at least one full month-end bank reconciliation on your own, start to finish.
• You've started using AI tools in your daily work and can point to one task where it genuinely saved you time.

By Day 90

• You own monthly accruals and fixed-asset recognition, depreciation and disposals for your area.
• You're contributing real numbers to cash-flow planning, not just pulling historical data.
• You've flagged at least one manual, repetitive process in your area as a candidate for automation.

By Day 120

• You're fully independent across invoicing, banking, accounts payable and payroll reconciliation.
• You've helped move a data-quality or process improvement forward — not just spotted it, but pushed it through.
• You're the person the team turns to with questions about your part of the ledger.

Typically, for this role we offer individuals an annual salary between 28,000 EUR and 40,000 EUR gross, if based in Sofia. For a candidate that we assess as possessing considerable relevant experience, the salary tends to be in the upper end of the band provided. Compensation varies by location and expected impact. For individuals who demonstrate exceptional capability, we may offer compensation that extends beyond the usual ranges to reflect their higher expected impact.
