Requirements

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented embedded software engineer looking to progress their career.

  • Educated to degree level
  • At least 3 years' experience in embedded software development
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of programming in ‘C’
  • Good working knowledge of another programming language unrelated to ‘C’
  • Linux experience (application development)
  • Ability to develop low level applications on modern microcontrollers – we generally use ARM Cortex-M series processors
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and errata notices as they relate to software development
  • Ability to use test equipment to verify correct functioning of embedded software
  • Skill in debugging problems and resolving issues without recourse to software debugging tools
  • Ability to work autonomously under the guidance of senior engineers

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full developments (Our developments vary from a few weeks to a few months)
  • Adhering to written specifications
  • Creating code that is well written, stable, reliable and easy to maintain
  • Testing to verify code is performing to specification.
  • Documentation as required by the specification
  • Second line support on your developments
  • Working as part of a team on larger projects
