Position Summary

The UIC Wellness Center seeks to fill an Extra Help Program Coordinator position. This 900- hour position involves working in a campus wellness center and promoting and supporting health education topics, services, resources, and referrals pertinent to college students.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of student food pantry operations such as ordering food, accepting food, managing inventory, distributing food, and managing student pantry registration and communications.
• Provide student service assistance.
• Maintain Pantry databases.
• Compiles and analyzes data and information, evaluates and summarizes findings.
• Assists Director in formulating Pantry policies based on judgment and expert knowledge of a particular area.
• Acts as a Pantry liaison to campus, agency and community groups.
• Researching, developing, and implementing health education and health promotion materials, programs, and workshops.
• Managing, preparing, and posting content for listserv and social media communications.
• Conducting health education workshops on a variety of topics.
• Participates in the training and supervising of student staff.
• Oversee general office function.
• Schedules, assigns, reviews, and/or provides recommendations regarding work within the program.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position. (Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)
3. Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required.
