This role manages program schedules, supports quoting and contract activities, and drives coordination across engineering and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with program objectives. The Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customer communication and is responsible for maintaining clear visibility into program status, risks, and key decisions.

In addition to managing schedules and performance, this role proactively identifies risks, dependencies, and constraints, drives their resolution, and ensures the program maintains forward momentum. The Program Manager plays a key role in translating technical progress into actionable program-level insights to support effective decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with experience in complex, cross-functional environments, preferably within semiconductor wafer processing or similar technical domains.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution across multiple projects within the IRSP program area, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated program schedules, including dependencies, constraints, and critical path activities.
  • Monitor program progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and potential delays to drive timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communication, including leading weekly schedule and technical meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver clear program status updates, including changes, impacts, and required actions or decisions.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure readiness for execution, including materials, resources, and a defined scope.
  • Support project quoting, planning, and contract-related activities, including preparation of schedules and program inputs.
  • Maintain program dashboards and tracking tools (e.g., SharePoint), including RAIDE logs, to ensure accurate and actionable visibility.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders by ensuring clarity of priorities, ownership, and deliverables.
  • Support resolution of program challenges by facilitating cross-functional troubleshooting, collaboration, and decision-making.

 Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Comply with all quality and ITAR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Build meaningful and productive relationships with internal business partners.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for the benefit of 3rd parties.
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned with a can-do attitude.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit.

Job Qualifications:

  • US citizenship or permanent resident alien status is required.
  • Program or project management experience, including the use of Gantt charts and budget management.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it.
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in physical science or engineering is preferred
  • Hands-on experience in wafer processing and basic semiconductor device processing is a plus.
  • Overall, experience in data recording and data presentation (PowerPoint) is a must.
  • The ideal candidate will have program management experience in an R&D environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from development through manufacturing readiness, ensuring alignment, accountability, and adherence to quality standards.

Job Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and communicate data effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong experience in MS Project (or similar tools) for managing integrated schedules, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles or similar process improvement methodologies to support efficient execution and continuous improvement.
  • Experience generating reports and materials for customer communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
