Job Description
- Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of five years experience programming in RPG ILE/SQLRPGLE/CLP/DDS on IBM iSeries
- Sterling Gentran for iSeries EDI translator experience
- GXS (Inovis) Trustedlink for iSeries EDI translator experience
- Working knowledge of data communication method such as VAN, FTP, AS2 is desirable
- Hand on experience with ANSI X12 EDI standard and Motor Carrier EDI documents including EDI 204/211, 210, 214 is an asset
- Demonstrated experience working on moderately complex systems and projects
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Have ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in or knowledge of the transportation business is an asset
- Ability to organize workload with minimal supervision
- Able to meet aggressive deadlines with well-tested solutions
Additional duties include:
- Interacting with customers end users to define requirements
- Clearly documenting program code
- Troubleshooting and debugging existing code
- Thoroughly testing code and fixes to ensure quality
- Providing programming support for various interfaces
- Keeping key contacts informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes
- Completing project estimates and adhering to them
