How You'll Make an Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Integrate AI tools and assistant workflows into your day-to-day development process to optimize productivity.
- Implement robust test automation for backend services, APIs, and business logic.
- Ensure backend readiness and quality support for web and mobile testing teams.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
- 4+ years of professional experience with Python development.
- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day engineering activities (coding, refactoring, test generation).
- Heavy emphasis on test automation (pytest, unittest) and test-driven development (TDD) principles.
- Experience with or exposure to mobile testing support, such as testing backend endpoints for iOS/Android apps or integrating API automation for mobile backends.
- Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
- Solid knowledge of REST APIs and microservice architecture.
- Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerised applications, and CI/CD automated test pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Experience with mobile backend services (Firebase, Push Notifications, etc.).
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures or message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
