We're seeking an experienced Controller based in Argentina or South America to lead accounting and financial reporting for our multi-state, multi-entity U.S. business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll own the close process, consolidated reporting, and reconciliations. This role requires strong, demonstrated financial reporting experience — you'll be producing the numbers our leadership runs the business on.
What You'll Do
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports across entities and locations (NJ, NY, TX)
- Manage AP/AR, general ledger, and account reconciliations to a clean, audit-ready standard
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with the CFO
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness
- Partner with HR/payroll on labor cost reporting and compliance
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and banking partners
What We're Looking For
- Based in Argentina or South America with reliable remote work setup
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA / Contador Público or equivalent strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a proven track record in financial reporting — monthly close, consolidations, and management reporting
- Experience reporting for U.S. companies and familiarity with US GAAP strongly preferred
- Multi-entity accounting experience; distribution, food/produce, or logistics industry a plus
- Strong systems skills ([ERP — confirm]); Rippling and SAP Concur exposure a plus
- Fully bilingual English/Spanish, with strong written English for leadership reporting
- Self-directed and effective working remotely with a lean U.S.-based team
