Job Purpose
To lead a group of qualified technical resources as well as being responsible for delivering and
owning a stream of critical software applications to ensure Etisalat's business continuity and
competitive edge.
Report To Position Name
Ensure that the project plans delivered by the demand team is correct and in sync with the project
scope and milestones
Divide the project tasks among the project team members with equal load and in sync with their
development plans.
Closely communicate with the business analysts to understand the functional and non-functional
requirements.
Ensure the proper release and handover documents are prepared and submitted to the proper teams.
Develop code that follows the latest best practices and the development guidelines.
Developing technical and end user documentation as per the agreed process.
Ensure that all submitted code has under-go unit testing. Ensure the execution of all the tests are
done as per the agreed process.
Ensure the proper build of the releases with more than 90% success rate for each application deployment.
Document the solution architecture and ensure that the detailed design of the solution is available
for all the projects.
Enforce the use of source control. Produce all the artifacts based on the agreed process.
Reporting and on-time escalation of project issues, risk envisioned and issues between team
members.
Develop code that follows the latest best practices and the development guidelines.
Developing technical and end user documentation as per the agreed process.
QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology, management
Excellent command of English language (Reading, Writing & Oral).
Excellent Telecommunication knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal skills (Negotiation, communications, etc.)
Ability to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate
innovative solutions.
Ability to work under the supervision of the team lead, able to work independently as
well as part of a team on multiple overlapping projects.
Ability to focus on delivering results in a dynamic environment with aggressive
deadlines and multiple prioriti
QUALIFICATIONS_DESIRABLE
Cross functional experience/exposure (Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Finance, etc.)
Change Management experience
Experience with large size projects implementation
Strong problem solving, analysis, design, and testing skills.
Strong data analysis, design and testing skills.
EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL
5+
years of Experience.
Extensive experience in delivering IT business solutions in the domain of customer
EXPERIENCE_DESIRABLE
Strong object-oriented design skills.
Java development experience (J2SE, J2EE (JSF, JSP, Servlets), Web Services, Rich
faces, Prime faces, EJB (JPA and Hibernate) )
Application server knowledge (JBOSS/Tomcat/Web logic)
Good UNIX skills
Telecom Experience is preferred
Web based and/or service tier and/or backend development experience.
Strong relational database management skills is a plus and experience in SQL/PLSQL
