Job description

Description

Alexa+ is Amazon's next-generation AI-powered personal assistant, built on large language models to deliver natural, conversational, and context-aware experiences for hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. We are building new services and experiences for Alexa+ customers from the ground up, and we're looking for an experienced, generative AI-savvy Senior Technical Program Manager to help drive them to delivery.

In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that span multiple engineering teams building Tier-1 cloud services and real-time experiences for hundreds of millions of devices and customers. You'll turn ambiguous, large-scale technical challenges into clear roadmaps, drive execution across organizational boundaries, and ensure we deliver experiences that redefine what a personal assistant can do. You'll operate at the intersection of engineering and product — bringing structure to greenfield initiatives and keeping fast-moving teams aligned, unblocked, and shipping.

Why You'll Love It Here
-Unprecedented program complexity: You'll plan, lead and orchestrate initiatives at a scale and technical complexity few programs encounter — coordinating across many teams to deliver solutions for our customers. We don't just build AI products; we use generative AI extensively in our own planning and execution practices, keeping you at the forefront of the field.
-High-impact, collaborative partners: Join a team of passionate engineers and product managers who support each other, share knowledge freely, and celebrate wins together — and who value the clarity and momentum a great TPM brings.
-Greenfield opportunity: We're building from the ground up, giving you the chance to shape not just architecture and program, but the very mechanisms, processes, and delivery culture from day one.
-World-changing impact: The programs you drive will directly shape how hundreds of millions of customers interact with their personal assistant every day.

Key job responsibilities
-Own and drive end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-organizational technical programs — from ambiguous concept through launch and operation — including requirements, technical design, planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
-Contribute to annual and quarterly planning cycles, translating organizational strategy into actionable program plans.
-Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align priorities, make trade-off decisions, and communicate program status to senior leadership.
-Establish and improve mechanisms — status reporting, operational reviews, launch readiness, and audit metrics — that create visibility and explain variance against goals.
-Drive engineering and operational excellence by embedding quality, reliability, and launch-readiness standards into program planning and execution.
-Champion the use of generative AI both in the experiences we ship and in our own program and engineering practices to accelerate time to market.

About the team
The Alexa Connected Devices team designs, builds, and operates the core horizontal services that power Alexa — the world's largest IoT installation and most capable, efficient, and trusted AI assistant. We deliver the capabilities that let Alexa connect, discover, set up, and manage over 1 billion connected endpoints across Echo, Fire TV, Smart Home, Mobile, and Apps.
